18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul Free

18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul is truck simulator PC game. This game is developed by SCS Software. 18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul will enjoy you with a truck. In this game your task is to take cargo from one location such as a warehouse etc and take it to another city of North America. You can take your way anywhere within North America. After successful delivery of cargo to its destination, you will get paid.

This game installation is very easy. After installation, start new game and enter your name as player. There is two modes of 18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul; 1^st one is Campaign and 2^nd is Single Delivery. In Single Delivery mode, you have to select your current city e.g. Boston, New York or Dallas. Then you have to select cargo which you want to deliver such as Oil, Mobile House, Cotton, Furniture and much more. Then you have to select the destination city. To test the game, I have select Boston and the destination city as New York as these are closer to each other.

When the game will start, you will find yourself with your truck into a warehouse with a trailer. Attach the trailer with your truck by pressing T key from keyboard. To attach trailer, take your truck backward until you are asked to press “T”. When the trailer will attach, you are ready to take your truck to the destination. To check the destination on map, press F4 function key. After Zooming in, you will see the red circle on the map.

You have to follow the traffic rules to safe your money. There are four bars at the top right corner of the screen. You can identify them through the icons. Trailer icon will show you the trailer damage condition. Full red bar will show the badly damage of trailer. Next is money bar. In single delivery mode, you do not have any money in hand. Next bar with Start shows your penalty. If you break any rule, this ball will get red color. For example it will get red if you cross a square with red traffic lights, do not turn light in night (L key to turn light on), drive on wrong way, hit your truck with another vehicle and keep the lights high within city area. If trailer will damage, the payment will be deducted from your expected payment.

In campaign mode, you will have some cash in hand according to your difficulty level. You have only one empty truck. You have to go to any warehouse to get some cargo to earn so that you may build your own empire of trucks.

There are 3 difficulty levels; easy, medium and hard. In easy mode, there is no initial loan, $50,000 cash in hand and proper orientation of trailer not necessary for you. While in Medium and Hard mode, you have to start with $20,000 cash in hand and proper orientation is required for unloading. In hard mode, you have a loan of $100,000 with $20,000 in hand only.

You can use arrow keys and A, S, D and W keys to drive the truck. For emergency brakes, you can use spacebar. To change the view of truck, use number keys from 2-5. To turn engine on/off, you have to use E key from keyboard. If it is raining, then use P key to start vipers. Always keep an eye on Fuel meter and fuel station on the map. You have to pay for fuel on the station if your tank will empty. Try to full your oil tank before it ends. Hope you will enjoy this game as it has a trial of 60 minutes.
